(Master thesis, Arnhem University, 2009, Ellessy Publishers, 2010) ISBN 9789086601042 Nora Iburg![]() In her master thesis published in 2010 Dutch scholar Nora Iburg argues that for third-generation Indos in the Netherlands there is no need to define the essence of a common Indo group identity and concludes that for them there is in fact no true essence of Indo identity except for its’ hybrid nature.
’Third generation Indos in the Netherlands are nomadic thinkers, concentrating on a consciousness (and evolution) of Indo identity […], in stead of the illusion that the essence of Indo identity can be determined. This nomadic consciousness enables them to re-think and re-invent static categories. Nomadism gives its subject energy to fade out borders without burning bridges.’ However to be able to do this there can not be disregard of history and she mentions the re-construction of family history as the first step. 'Only by doing justice to history and acknowledging the memories and emotions of the first generation, the next generations will be able to construct their own identities.' I.N.D.O. 010Indo roots in Rotterdam: LINK (Documentaries, Dutch language)
In 2017 two young Rotterdam Indo's make a tv-series about Indo roots in the city of Rotterdam. Most Indo's arrived in the Netherlands via large passengerships like for instance the legendary m.v. Willem Ruys. Rotterdam in the 50's was the largest port in the world. The quays and warehouses, where the Indo's in diaspora disembarked, are now transformed into luxury city lofts. But two generations on some Indo's may still sense a transferred degree of displacement.

Histori Bersama website
https://historibersama.com/histori-bersama/more-information/
This website was founded in 2016 and picked up the gauntlet we left with our Indocentric contributions to the English language version of Wikipedia.
Our 2007 mission statement om Wikipedia reads:
"My reason to particpate in the Wikipedia project stems from observations made over many years. I have found that much academic research about certain topics is scattered or dominant in one particular language only. Wikipedia seems to be a unique platform to consolidate information and take into account many global perspectives on the subject matter at hand."

However most opinions and selections are skewed towards the Indonesian perspective and includes little about the Indo-Eurasian experience.
